(a) The model must be able to support itself in the water unassisted, resting on 2 or more floats.
(b) Any rubber powered design published up to and including January 1951 may take part, if fitted with suitable floats.
(c) The builder of the model rule to apply, but proxy flying to be allowed for deceased or incapacitated peoples' models.
(d) Three flights to a 2 minute maximum plus a fly off, if needed.
(e) 2 false starts or no flight attempts to be allowed for each contest flight, a no flight being one of up to and including 20 seconds.
(2) Flying Boats.
(a) The model must be able to support itself itself in the water unaided in the water resting on its fuselage or hull.
(b) Any rubber powered flying boat design published up to and including January 1951 is eligible.
(c) The builder of the model rule to apply, but proxy flying to be allowed for deceased or incapacitated peoples' models.
(d) Three flights to a maximum of 90 seconds plus a fly off, if needed.
(e) 2 false starts or no flight attempts to be allowed for each contest flight, a no flight being one of up to and including 20 seconds.
The contests to take place from 10 am to time of contest end, over all 3 days of the SAM 1066 Champs.
In case of adverse wind conditions maximums may be lowered on the day and a maximum possibly applied to the fly off.
